The system is equipped with 3 sets of gradients 205 mm ID Bruker actively shielded gradient set capable of 200 mT/m gradients 120 mm ID Magnex Scientific actively shielded gradient set capable of 400 mT/m gradients 60 mm ID Magnex Scientific actively shielded gradient set capable of 1000 mT/m gradients Bruker Biospin MRI, Inc. Avance console controlled by Paravision 2.1.1 software. The following probes are available for routine use: 72mm ID Bruker detunable volume coil 35mm ID Bruker volume coil 25mm ID Bruker volume coil (high-resolution) Several homemade probes for imaging rodents Equipment for monitoring physiological parameters (ETCO2, body temperature, respiratory tidal pressure and volume, ECG, etc) during MRI scans are available. Equipment for functional somatosensory stimulation of animals is available. An electronics/mechanical shop is available for building RF probes, animal holders and physiological stimulation devices
